Rivi Oren - Landscape Architecture

Rivi Oren is a Landscape Architect, practicing since 1980. She is a graduate of the Urban Landscape program of the CUNY school of Architecture and a full member of the society of Landscape Architects. Her experience includes master planning, design development, preparation of construction documents, specifications and construction administration.

Site renovation of five elementary schools. Improvements to the middle school grounds and redesign of the high school grounds solving major drainage, parking, access and circulation problems. The high school site re-design separated vehicular circulation from a pedestrian “school green” along a naturally planted stream and around a formal stone and brick paved plaza and courtyard. The project received the American Institute of Architects Community Design Award and was published in “American School and University.” *

CHAPPAQUA CENTRAL SCHOOL • Chappaqua, New York
Site renovation of three elementary schools, middle school and high school, creating an extensive athletic complex on 50 acres, including six tennis courts, an all-weather running track and football field on a swampy site, as well as several soccer, lacrosse, baseball and softball fields. Site plan and landscaping of education center, courtyard and terraced garden at new library and auditorium annex. *

A master plan for a recreational facility on a 12-acre beachfront site that was part of a 200-acre country club on Long Island Sound. The plan successfully connected the parking, beach house, and waterfront boardwalk.*
