A GARDEN FOR A VICTORIAN STYLE RESIDENCE (Scarsdale, NY)

A nature-loving family from California built its dream home in a romantic, Victorian style. The park-like large garden includes a fenced pool garden, trellises, a boxwood lined vegetable garden, a pond with water falls and a tennis court. The garden is planted with rare evergreen trees and unique woodsy plants in the client’s personal color scheme. An unusual collection of antique garden ornaments is displayed throughout the property.

A GARDEN FOR A GEORGIAN STYLE RESIDENCE (Scarsdale, NY)

A native Virginia family fulfilled its dream of creating a traditional, formal garden a la Williamsburg, Virginia in Westchester, New York. An English-style stone wall was built to separate the property from the street and a long allee of mature cherry trees was planted to accentuate the long approach and frame the view of the residence. A brick wall and wrought iron gate lend privacy to the boxwood lined, richly planted entry garden. The back garden, with its pool, pool house, pavilion and rose garden, is a perfect setting for stylish entertaining.

A GARDEN FOR A TUDOR STYLE RESIDENCE (Scarsdale, NY)

An art loving family restored its beautiful stone Tudor house and garden with Art Deco as its inspiration. The pool and spa terrace was designed like a piece of Art Deco jewelry and great attention was given to the detailing of the masonry elements, wrought iron fences and gates, glass mosaics, light fixtures and outdoor furnishings. The planting palate included rare evergreen trees and shrubs and a warm and sensual color scheme dominated the flower beds.

A GARDEN FOR A COLONIAL STYLE RESIDENCE (Greenwich, CT)

A banker and an enthusiastic flower lover were the inspiration for a series of gardens filled with unusual and unique plants. A terrace garden was shaded with locust trees and fragrant flowers. A white flower garden was designed for a shady cool area. A strolling garden was filled with woodsy trees, shrubs and perennials that change their interest with the change in the season. A berry garden was planted next to the children’s play house as was a pond with extensive wetland planting. A flower cutting garden surrounded the formal garden next to the private study.
